What it costs a 3-person agency with 10 clients.
Hootsuite's published prices are per user, per month, billed annually: Standard $99, Professional $199, Advanced $399. A 3-person agency pays for three seats. Month-to-month billing exists and costs more. Hootsuite does not print that rate, so this page does not either.
Standard for three people is $297 a month. The plan covers 10 social accounts for the organisation and has no content approvals. Ten client brands with one account each fill the cap. A second network on any of those clients does not fit.
Professional for three people is $597 a month. Social accounts are unlimited. Content approvals are on the next plan up.
Advanced is the plan that includes approvals. Three seats come to $1,197 a month, $14,364 a year, before tax. Approvers work inside Hootsuite, with an approver permission.
Haba Social charges for the workspace. Starter is $19 a month, Creator is $39 and Agency is $79. Annual billing saves 20%. The Agency plan covers 60 connected accounts, unlimited seats and unlimited brand reporting. Approvals by magic link are on every plan. Ten client brands and three people fit on Agency at $79 a month. Creator reports on 5 brands, which is short of this roster. The vault is on every plan. Team sharing, per-person permissions and the activity log are Agency only.
Where Hootsuite is stronger.
Hootsuite runs the rest of the social operation. Standard includes one inbox for messages and monitoring for your brand and competitors. Professional adds unlimited social accounts, custom performance reports and trend forecasts up to 90 days. Advanced adds approval workflows and assigning messages to teammates. Enterprise adds single sign-on, compliance controls and advanced listening.
Haba Social has no inbox and no social listening. Replies, mentions and listening stay in a tool that does that work.
Where Haba Social fits better.
Haba Social is built for posting on behalf of clients. Each client brand keeps its own channels, media, approvals and reports. The client approves from a magic link, on any device, with no account to create. PDF reports and the live dashboard carry your name and your colours. The price stays on the workspace when you add a teammate or send an approval.
That fits an agency whose work is the client roster.
When Hootsuite is the better choice.
Hootsuite is the better choice when you need the inbox, listening and enterprise controls in one suite. Single sign-on, compliance and advanced listening sit on Enterprise, and the inbox starts on Standard. It is also the better choice when you publish channels you own, your team already approves and replies inside Hootsuite, and a per-user price on Advanced is what that suite is worth to you.
Moving from Hootsuite in an afternoon.
Haba Social has no Hootsuite import. For a small roster, an afternoon covers reconnecting each client network, recreating the posts that are still due, and sending one magic-link approval so the client can see the new loop.
The vault is on every plan.
Team sharing, per-person permissions and the activity log are Agency only. Plans also differ by limits. Annual billing saves 20%.
